tonite around 9 or so at grasshutcorp.com/bwana I’ll be having a load of paintings toys and customs up for action on my site. I just unearthed a bunch of stuff in the backroom and GH is moving to a smaller space next week so time to dust out the old and shred on the new or something like that.

Grass Hut is looking for a new shipper! Spread the word!

This is a part-time position, approximately 8-15 hours per week. This includes a 7-8 hours shift each week with the ability to put in a few extra hours on other days as needed. In addition, the Grass Hut shipper will check their Grass Hut email daily and be able to take a few minutes to respond to questions. We are looking for someone with these qualities:

-       An interest in the art and/or toy scene

-       Extreme attention to detail

-       Good people skills

-       Positive, organized, and motivated

-       Must have a car

Job duties include:

-       Shipping and receiving

-       Ordering shipping supplies

-       Communicating with buyers via email

-       Keeping track of shipments

-       Occasional help with installing and taking down shows

-       Additional miscellaneous tasks to help with gallery operations

If this seems like the right position for you, we would love to hear from you. Please email Melanie at melanie.grasshut@gmail.com

here’s a good multi tasker post. let’s see here. First, we need a new shipper. Read the above post if your interested.  Just found a pile of buta no hana toys in a box in the back. Guess we totally forgot to put these up in the shop and online, so that will happen tomorrow.patiently awaiting our very first Solitary Arts order to arrive. I love this skate company. If you like banana boards and Geoff Mcfetridge I think you will like Solitary Arts too. i think we are the only folks that will be carrying these goods in the pacific northwest too. We are moving downtown to 5th and couch, but before i get too ahead of myself. Balls Out and Gh are still here and open. We will have a few things on sale here in the shop that aren’t making the leap and next friday we will have an early evening party to say goodbye to this chapter of grass hutness. it will be the last chance to see Balls Out and to wish us luck with the new move and see the old space one last time. i think a few of the artists from Seattle are coming down, we’ll have some drinks and snacks and love in the air. pieces from Balls out are moving, but we still have some amazing work here. i get to stare at the whole show everyday. maybe there is something here you want to stare at every day. Also a few adjustments. We just sent all of skinners work back, but… J Otto came by and only picked up 5 pieces, so we have just about everything we had left of his, and will readjust ye olde web shoppe to show what we actually have in stock.

More… Really, more. Yes. I think I’ll be at The Stumptown Comics Festival this weekend on saturday for a bit. And coming soon is the first toy from Graves and Spoons. More on that soon. here’s a pic from the beginning of this chapter of grass hut. Not really that long ago but somehow we do look a lot younger.

sneek

we just put a bunch of prints up for chris joahnson. We did a major price adjustment and updated a few carson ellis bits, and this is last call for anybody thinking about picking up a j. otto piece. We think we will have another otto show in the future, but fer now everything that is left is about to head back to yonder artist. We love mr. otto and his fine and dandy scrabbly art hands. First person that orders a piece will get a drumhead stencil. magic. just hunt around the site and you will find amazing work by all three of these magicians of the arts.
