Stegoforest - Right Side

Battle-Damaged Acorn Warrior
History:
Stegoforest is from the late Jurassic period and was found in what is now known as the Pacific Northwest of North America. Stegoforest had an array of coniferous plants that grew from its back and are thought to have been used as camouflage. Stegoforest were herbivores, but it is also speculated that they gained energy through photosynthesis as well. They averaged a height of 10 meters (from foot to tree top), and a length of 9 meters. Although it bares a striking resemblance to the Stegosaurus, this creature was neither an animal or a plant, but somewhere in between making it hard for scientists to classify. The origin and veracity of Stegoforest is uncertain, as few remains are known to exist, and many have been falsified.

There’s a preorder on my website right now for the resin version. Vinyl in the future. http://www.ghostandflower.com/stegoforest/

Jeff Lamm is up & greasey

see the jeff lamm mini show… online now…

Looking real good so far… pieces are trickling in, causing massive explosions…
near and far, Balls Out thee third.

GH-Who is grease bat?
JL-Well, I have a little back story about Greasebat, he is the result of globs of hair pomade, peeling tattoo flesh and general garbage which lined the sewers of Tokyo after the mid-eighties neo-rockabilly boom. It was given life by a boost of black market nuclear waste in the early 90′s, and Greasebat was born.
But as far as his personality, he’s sort of laid back, gets embarrassed easy, and not really mean- just big and clumsy. He’s not here to hurt people, he’s just hungry all the time. Looking for plastic factories to eat.

GH-How did you get into making art toys?
JL-I’ve been a long time collector of Japanese toys, when Super 7 debuted I realized I wasn’t alone. After several years of doing gig posters for bands, I started to draw different monster characters a lot. I ended up doing Greasebat and looked into getting him made as a toy. That’s where my friend Chad came along and made it happen. Now I have three different toys out with more on the way, it’s amazing.

GH-Do you collect anything? Tennisball lint? Buckets of blood?
JL-I have a habit of collecting various things, mostly toys right now. I have an eight year old daughter and we go nuts buying Playmobil toys, Ugly Dolls, various things like that. I also have a pretty decent vinyl collection, mostly old punk stuff. I like to buy art prints, books on art and architecture…stuff that makes me appear smarter than I actually am.

GH- Describe your awesome day. The kind of day where everything goes your way.
JL-Any day where I get to spend all day relaxing with my family is a good one. Filled with good coffees and some classic jazz tunes…maybe a little time to sit down and draw some stuff. Mail carrier dropping off a box of toys…followed up with a twisty drive on country roads in my Jeep with the roof down. Very relaxing, like shining your boots.

GH- What’s coming up?
JL- More toys! A new Greasebat figure from Monster Worship, pocket size. A new addition to the Unbox toy line, which are the interchangeable figures. I’ve seen the sculpts and they look amazing. A couple more toys are in the very early planning stages. Right now I’d love to do a set of like Goranger style toys that come with a vinyl jumbo robot!

You can see more of Jeff work on his site greasebat and this month here.
