Over the holidays i went to aarowhead in the san bernadino mts. This used to be an acorn grinding rock for the og americans. To give you a sense of it’s size that pinecone nose is about a size 14 foot. Pretty big eh.
Just me and my feets. i took a few nice hikes up into the high desert. I saw deer, racoon, rabbit tracks, and maybe a bear track in the snow. My feet are dangling over a semi frozen stream. Found some good animal poo too. But the only live anomals I saw were birds. Which by the way, when I got back home. Lady spoons spotted an eagle on newyears day. Not one of those hawks we see sometimes being chased by crows. An eagle which was just passing thru and doing it’s job at scaring the crows. Also yesterday i saw a hummingbird in front my window. it had a redneck. good bird seeing in 2010.
Thanks to everybody that heard my call for more painting. Should have the first sars commissions finished up soon and I’ll post the pics here. peace and love in 2010.

First thing I am doing after some long thinking about where who and what i am is evening up the score with peeples and my brain. It was an exciting, but also long and hectic year, after umpteen toy releases artshows up the wazooo, and a book tour some goods and peeple got left in the dust. So i am finishing up the year with a double sloth painting for Diana Kwok, a giant custom killer for neon monster, one last liongirl fo a sars member that kept getting the shuffle somehow, killer J saramon customs, and a custom Elements vinyl for artoyz. the year just got out of control, so now it’s time to get on these lost but not forgotten bits of 2009.
2010 i really want to devote equal parts to installation work/ painting/ and toys. this means maybe a tiny bit less toy releases (give some of you a chance to catch up), and a bit more painting. i want to paint more. I have a fantasy that i can make this deck of cards that i have been thinking about for a few years. Gonna take it slow. One card image a week offered up to SARS members first. 52 pick up eh… I will also be scheming a way to visit easter island. Maybe some sort of artist residency. Going to spain with martin and hopefully my lady, and maybe another visit to the lovely land of france.

These are called light monster dave.
My little girl says these monsters only come out in the daytime because they are scared of the dark. So she dubbed them light monsters.
Fun to be able to paint this Uglydolls T9G magic. I finally got tomeet T9G at one of David’s shows recently. Small dream come true.

I finished a painting of mutley and one of yogi bear, and now i am painting daves. Uglydoll daves. not bad for a monday. that’s usually not my funday. Oh… also watching lots of rockford files while i paint. that’s a winner.
